CoreFace SAP connectors

SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4HANA

CoreFace provides a powerful and flexible solution for integrating PTC Windchill with SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4HANA (onPremise / Private Cloud) to ensure smooth synchronization of product data and business processes.
For this integration, Innoface provides customers with the necessary OData services that are imported into the existing SAP system. Communication and data exchange between CoreFace and SAP ECC 6.0 or SAP S/4HANA takes place via the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Suite. This provides a secure and reliable connection between CoreFace and your SAP system.
An important advantage of CoreFace is that SAP standard objects are not modified. All objects provided by Innoface are in their own namespace. This ensures update stability of your SAP system.
CoreFace provides a high degree of flexibility for customer-specific adaptations. For example, custom fields (Z-fields) can be easily used in the mapping configuration.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

For SAP S/4HANA Cloud, CoreFace offers a customized solution based on the use of SAP standard OData services. This integration method provides a seamless connection between PTC Windchill and the SAP S/4HANA Cloud environment.
The use of SAP standard services creates a highly flexible and scalable solution that enables secure data exchange and synchronization of product and business process data. This approach ensures easy and fast implementation as CoreFace provides a standard connector that does not require extensive customization or configuration.
Another advantage of this solution is the ability to fill custom fields (Z-fields) without any problems, so that your specific requirements can be easily implemented. Connecting to CoreFace via SAP standard APIs also provides a future-proof solution that adapts to the continuous updates and enhancements of SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

FunCtionS

CoreFace for SAP

CoreFace offers a range of standard functions that you can configure or adapt to your specific requirements. Maintain your material masters, parts lists, document information records and change masters directly from PTC Windchill.

Documents

Documents created in Windchill to describe a part are transferred to SAP and linked to the associated material master.

Material master

You can configure which fields and material views are supplied. Furthermore, you can also specify that plant-specific views are transferred in addition to the cross-plant views.

Bill of Materials (BOM)

The parts list is derived from the CAD assembly structure (EPMDocument structure) or the part structure (WTPart structure) as required. In addition to the item types N, L, items with variable size (R) and text items are also supported. The logic for the item structure can be adapted depending on the application.

Classification and charactersistics

When using PartsLink in Windchill, material masters can be classified and their characteristics on the SAP side are updated according to the class attributes in Windchill.

Additional master data

In addition to managing your core product data, CoreFace for SAP also supports you in updating BOMs, order BOMs, project BOMs, process plans and other master data.

Release processes

When product data and documents are ready for transfer, the data is checked again for accuracy and completeness before being transferred to SAP. After release, either by a defined status or as a result of a workflow, the product data is synchronized. The data is now up-to-date in both systems and is available for the next step.

Change master

All data is subject to a regulated and harmonized change management process in both systems. Each change process is managed on the Windchill side in a change notice workflow. The interface links the change notice in Windchill with the SAP change master record. All changed parts, parts lists and documents are managed simultaneously in the change notice.
On the key date when the change master record becomes valid in SAP, all parts, BOMs and descriptive documents affected by the change are simultaneously released in their new version and the prepared change can go into production.
